About Us

Broadfield  Community Centre is the only independent neighbourhood community centre in Crawley. It was built at roughly the same time as the Broadfield neighbourhood was added to Crawley in the 1970s. It is located at the Coachmans Drive end of the Broadfield Barton shopping parade opposite the Library and Neighbourhood Hub.

The land is owned by the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church, who let the land for the use of the community. The Centre itself is a registered charity (no. 1156601) overseen by a board of trustees (see the Who’s Who page for more details).

In other words the Centre is run by the people of Broadfield for the people of Broadfield. Offers of help are always welcome!

The centre is managed day-to-day by Tracy Frake and Viv Evans and is hired out to many groups on a regular basis.

The halls and rooms can also be hired out to the public for events,  see the Facilities and Hiring pages for further information.
